How to store and display children's artwork

Choose together
You can't keep everything. Once a week, pick a few favourites together — the child learns to make decisions and you avoid an avalanche of paper.
A folder or binder
A flat folder or a binder with sleeves is the simplest archive. Date each piece — over the years it becomes a touching chronicle of the child's artistic growth.
A rotating display
Instead of covering the whole fridge, set one spot — a string with clips or a swap-in frame. New work replaces old, so the display always feels fresh.
A digital archive
Photograph an especially good piece before it's damaged or lost. A digital archive takes no space, and photos are easy to share with grandparents or print in an album.
A second life for artwork
Turn colored pages into greeting cards, bookmarks or collage pieces. The child sees their work has value and a real use.
